Monocrystalline vs polycrystalline: what’s the difference?

Monocrystalline

Construction: fragments of silicon are melted together to form wafers. Polycrystalline solar cells are cheaper to manufacture and require produce less waste during construction, as polycrystalline technology has improved the difference in quality is marginal.
